Annual "Circle the Jail in Prayer" in downtown Winston-Salem, NC

An effort to show the love of Christ to inmates and to the surrounding community by circling the jail with volunteers from many churches around our community. This event is coordinated by the Forsyth County Prison Ministry.


Monthly Worship Service - Forsyth County Detention Center - downtown Winston-Salem, NC

To participate, volunteers must attend training sessions and be placed on the volunteer list for Calvary Jail Ministries after an extensive background search by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Dept.


Weekly Bible Study Classes - All three counties

The Forsyth County Detention Center requires training, background checks, and volunteers must be placed on our limited volunteer list for Calvary Jail Ministries, prior to leading an inmate Bible study class. New volunteers mentor with an experienced jail volunteer before teaching inmates on their own. Davie and Davidson counties require background checks, but we provide the training and mentors for new volunteers.
